Weekend Entertainment

Please join us for live music on both weekends. Here are some of the performers scheduled. Thank you to Mariner Sails, Hobie Fleet 23 and the North Texas University Alumni Jazz Quintet for providing sponsorship to make the evening entertainment possible. The North Texas University Alumni Jazz Quintet features DCYC's own Tim Craft and will be performing Saturday at DCYC during Happy Hour.

Sam’s shows are appropriate for all ages, and Sam will mold and shape his show to deliver an up-beat, enjoyable evening for his audience. Throughout her career, Annie has followed a diverse path. She has performed in musical revues, theatrical productions, and has developed educational programs incorporating music and environmental awareness for elementary schools. She plays classical flute duets at swanky venues in the DFW area, and country music in dives and honky tonks. She has performed at The New Music Seminar, The Kerrville Folk Festival, and in 2006 was a featured songwriter at the National Folk Alliance.

“The Hi-Lifers: Romantic Retro Lounge” is a swing combo, part of the exciting Dallas swing revival. Our jazzy sound is popular with listeners and dancers, driven by strong rhythms, great horn and other soloists, and above all, engaging, upbeat, retro songs. The Balcony Club, 1727 On the Levee, and The Sons of Hermann Hall all hosted Hi-Lifers shows in 2009. Our culminating show in 2009 was The White Rock Marathon, where we played to thousands. Rhythm section and vocalists: Drums, Greg Mark Colden; stand-up bass, Mark Wilson; guitar Jenni Mansfield Peal. Soloists: Saxophone, David Lee Schloss; harmonica, Christopher Cave.

Jenni is a songwriter and singer, guitarist, accordionist, and mountain dulcimist. She has experience of over twenty-five years of performance in mainstream venues including coffee houses, festivals and fairs, bars, restaurants, and concert theaters. She plays solo engagements, has had bands, and has played as side accordionist in the bands of other musicians. I have appeared on television in the Mr. Peppermint Show; She has appeared in multiple editions that were syndicated world-wide and shown for years, as well as been on domestic and international radio.

Jessie entertains audiences with his acoustic electric guitar and a blend of old west, country, big band, gospel and swing from the 1830's through the 1950's and, of course, the music of the singing cowboys. “Some of my heroes were the singing cowboys, ” says Jessie. “The music is so pure and uncommercial. Almost every song tells a story of some sort, and fits any age group.”

Jessie's warmth and humor blend with his natural story-telling ability to transform the music into a unique and personalized entertainment experience whether it is a one-hour performance or an entire evening. With his many years of experience, Jessie is adept at tailoring his program to a specific audience's interests. He also focuses on audience interaction so that everyone feels they have received something very special and personal.


Last Call Band

Last Call is a 5 piece Rock and Roll band with emphasis on Classic Rock cover material from the 60's, 70's and 80's. Glenn Coleman (lead guitar & vocals), Bill Davenport (lead vocal), Jerry Steed (bass guitar), Ron Stambaugh (keyboards) and Ted Linich (drums) are the Last Call Band.
