Be a Fundraiser
Everyone can do it! Fundraising is the main purpose of our regatta. 75% of all donations are $25 or less. Every donation, no matter the size, puts us one step closer to the crucial research that help saves lives. Funds raised support The Society's mission to find a cure for blood cancers and provide patient services in the North Texas area.
Here's how. Once you register for the regatta, you will receive an email with a link to the fundraising website and a login and password. Click the link in your email, log in and begin customizing your fundraising web page. You can add your own message and solicit friends, family and coworkers via email. They can enter donations using their credit card right from your personalized web page.
And...You can earn exciting incentive prizes and awards based on the amount you raise!

Fundraising Tips
- By far, the fastest and easiest way to raise money is to use your online fundraising page. When you register for the regatta, a fundraising web page will be set up for you and log on information will be emailed. Simply send an email or mail a letter to your friends, family, and co-workers with the link to your website and they can quickly and safely make a contribution online. Funds will be credited to you and you don't have to do anything else. Your donors even get a receipt instantly online! Very simple and quick to use.
- Share your connection to the cause. If you or someone you know has battled a blood cancer, do the event in their honor.
- 3. Set a goal, then reach it in manageable steps. To raise $500:
Ask Amount Total Yourself 1 x $25 $25 Three family members 3 x $25 $75 Five friends 5 x $25 $125 Five coworkers 5 x $25 $125 A few neighbors 4 x $25 $100 Someone from your book club or athletic team 1 x $25 $25 Your hairdresser, dry cleaner or doctor 1 x $25 $25 $500 - Remember to ask donors if their company has a matching gift program. Matching gifts can double (or even triple) the original donation amount.
Pledge Collection Deadline
To be eligible for prizes, all pledge money must be received at the Society one week prior to the regatta.

You may also drop off pledges in person. The North Texas Chapter is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. daily.
Quick Tax-Deduction Tips
- All donations made to the Society are tax-deductible.
- All checks should be made out to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
- The Society will automatically send out a tax letter to those individuals who donate $75 or more.
- If you have a donor who contributes more than $75 in cash, please list their address on your pledge form so that we can send a tax letter.
- If you have a donor who contributes less than $75 and would like an acknowledgement of his or her donation, please enclose a small note or highlight the individual's name on your pledge form.
